Why work with a Coach?
Working with a coach is fast way to find the breath work practices that work for you. The best approach is not always intuitive, but it becomes clear when we work together. We use some smart technology called a CapnoTrainer and our own smarts that have come from years of experience working with people and the breath.
Gain the incredibly valuable skill of improving chemistry and physiology, at will, through the breath. Capnography feedback and home practice are key to this phase.
Take the skills from Phase 1 into daily activities. This is where the work starts to make lasting changes.
Ninja-fy the skills of the first two phases. This phase is great for those wanting to improve athletic performance or go deeper in self-discovery meditative practices. We consider this phase “bonus territory.”
Why The CapnoTrainer®
The CapnoTrainer is a biofeedback tool developed by Better Physiology. This device allows us to monitor breath carbon dioxide, a key indicator of breathing behavior and blood chemistry. This technology helps us objectively understand where to start, and what practices are working. This is super valauble.
These devices are generally rented by the learner, and can be purchased. We will send you a CapnoTrainer in the mail. The device easily connects to your Window’s based PC.
The Coaching Process
The weekly coaching sessions are generally 45-minute in person or web-based experiences. Coaches guide explorers through a three-phase breath work learning system using capnography technology to monitor the physiological effects of the breath. This objective measure takes the guess work out of breath-work and makes it very specific to the person learning to breathe better. Explorers receive breath-work activities and education to help the learning stick and to speed the transformative effects of this work.

- If you decide to move forward, request a Coaching Package. We recommend the Starter Package. For many, this will be enough.
- We will send you a CapnoTrainer®. Most people rent the CapnoTrainer, though they can be purchased.
- We will work together over a web-based platform, like Zoom or Skype.

- Computer that runs Windows and a good internet connection
- Speaker, microphone, and a camera (we want to see and hear you)
- Quiet, distraction free, or at least distraction lite environment
- A little excitement and curiosity

Besides the therapy I had on location with Deppeler, I learned breathing techniques I still use every day. As an elite runner, it has been incredibly important. I was wheezing and feeling tightness in my chest during hard workouts, and I had been told by doctors that I could implement a regimen of inhalers.
